FAULKNER COUNTY DEMOCRATIC PARTY TEXT WITH LOGO

How They Impact You

Do you travel our roadways most days? How often do you, or did you, drop your kids off at school- or were they picked up by the bus? Do you ever drive past, or walk through, the public parks in your city? What about the last time you filled up your gas tank, paid rent, or made a student loan payment? These are all examples of how policy connects with your day-to-day life. Policies set by elected officials that we get to choose each time. It’s important to remember that candidates are more than a letter next to their name, or the color we call our state. They are candidates trying to become policymakers, the exact same policymakers who affect these everyday tasks.

We have to promote representation for all Democratic candidates at all levels of
government, up and down the ballot, so we can have the drivable public roads, high quality public schools, a protected and cherished environment, protections for renters, and student debt relief we all crave.

We have to move the conversation AWAY from “Party” and TOWARDS “Policy” – because Democratic policies are popular!

Candidates for office run on policy platforms. It’s critical that we work to remind voters everywhere about the WHOLE platform a candidate is running on. If candidates will focus their message on popular policies, they can win!

The goal of any registered Democrat isn’t just to elect Democrats- it’s to affect changes in policy that will benefit EVERYONE!
