As JP it will be my job to listen to all voices to help ensure positive impacts for the citizens of Faulkner County. My emphasis on transparency, fiscal responsibility, and data driven decisions will help the Quorum Court reach that goal.

Since arriving in Conway in 2001, Allison has been an active member in the Conway and surrounding community. She credits her parents for instilling in her a sense of social awareness and responsibility, and feels it has shaped her perspective of helping others. She has held offices on various Boards of Directors including the Faulkner County Literacy Council (President), Conway Symphony Orchestra (President), Conway Interfaith Clinic (Vice President), and Arkansas Prostate Cancer Foundation (only female to ever serve as President). She also served on the Blackbird Academy Board of Directors. Allison is a 2005 graduate of the Faulkner County Leadership Institute (now CALI) and a 2009 graduate of Accent Little Rock. She was twice selected as the Log Cabin Democrat volunteer of the month and was named the Arkansas Prostate Cancer Foundation’s Woman of the year in 2016. Currently she serves on the Board of Blackbird Arts Collective, the Arkansas Prostate Cancer Foundation, and is a member of Conway Kiwanis and Conway Civic Clubs.

Allison is a Title IX Investigator and Education Coordinator at Hendrix College. Allison came to Hendrix from Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, where she served as Title IX Coordinator, chair of the school’s Institutional Review Board, and tenured sociology professor. Prior to joining Henderson State, she taught sociology at the University of Central Arkansas. Allison is an alumna of Doane University (formerly Doane College) in Crete, Nebraska, and received her master’s degree and Ph.D. in sociology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Allison is married to William Cone (General Manager of Green Bay Packaging in Morrillton), has three step-children, Tyler (Audrey), Reid (Shelbie), and Anna, and is a proud “Lovey” to two grand-daughters, Ellen and Norah. She and her husband are members of First United Methodist Church in Conway. In her free time she enjoys running, spending time at the lake, and participating in a local book club.
