Conway, Arkansas: Faulkner County Democratic Party’s annual Donaghey Dinner, featuring guest speaker Senator Stephanie Flowers of Pine Bluff, will be held on Saturday, May 18 at 5:30 PM. Eve Jorgensen of Moms Demand Action will be introducing Senator Flowers, and Senator Joyce Elliott of Little Rock will offer closing remarks.

The Marion Baker Award will honor a local Democrat who has dedicated their life to bettering Faulkner County. This year, the party is also introducing the Trailblazer Award, which honors people currently making a difference in Arkansas politics.

This year’s event will introduce a new red-carpet style entrance and photos by Macknificent Photography. Local jazz group Jeans and Jackets will be performing throughout the evening.

The Donaghey Dinner is the Faulkner County Democratic Party’s biggest fundraiser each year and is held to honor dedicated Democrats in the community. Funds go toward reaching the Democrat base in Faulkner County and toward local campaigns for the 2020 election.

“We couldn’t be more excited about the program this year. As anyone who’s seen Senator Flower’s viral video can tell you, our speakers are dynamite,” says Meleah Bowles, Communications Chair of the Faulkner County Democratic Party. “This isn’t your normal stuffy fundraising event.”
